ABOUT TREVON

Trevon currently serves as the Senior Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement at NYC’s LGBT Community Center, where he leads statewide advocacy initiatives, cultural programming, and government affairs. His work is rooted in collaboration, bringing together diverse stakeholders across public and private sectors in healthcare, social services, the arts, and education to push for policies that uplift and strengthen communities. He thrives on big ideas, creative problem-solving, and finding ways to turn ambitious goals into reality.

Throughout his career, Trevon has taken on complex challenges—from fighting for voting rights reform and Medicaid expansion to championing ethics in government. His leadership has been recognized with The National Urban League’s 2021 Eastern Region Social Justice Award for trailblazing civic achievement and the 2019 Democracy Champions Award for his role in transforming New York State’s voting policies. But beyond the accolades, what drives him is the impact of seeing communities gain greater access to the rights, resources, and opportunities they deserve.

Trevon is also passionate about fostering diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking organizations. He has led national health equity initiatives, developed strategic plans for organizational transformation, and worked alongside elected officials and community leaders to advance progressive social causes. He believes in the power of bold thinking and the importance of always asking, “How can we do better?”

A proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts system, Trevon holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from UMass Boston and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Psychology from UMass Amherst. More than anything, he is committed to using his voice, experience, and leadership to drive meaningful change—because he knows that when people come together with a shared purpose, anything is possible.
