ABOUT TREVON

Trevon Mayers is a strategist and civic leader working at the intersection of policy, cultural strategy, and institutional transformation. Over the last decade, he has led statewide advocacy and cross-sector change efforts that reshaped how systems operate and how people experience them.

He is the Founder and Principal of Mayers Studio New York, where he partners with brands, institutions, and leadership teams navigating growth, pressure, or transition. His work centers on cultural clarity—surfacing friction, aligning decision-makers, and designing operating structures that hold under pressure.

Previously, Trevon served as Senior Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement at New York City’s LGBT Community Center, leading statewide advocacy, government affairs, and cultural strategy. His work has bridged public and private sectors—including healthcare, social services, the arts, and education—bringing stakeholders into shared strategy and coordinated execution.

Throughout his career, Trevon has taken on complex challenges—from voting rights reform and Medicaid expansion to advancing ethics in government. His leadership has been recognized with the National Urban League’s 2021 Eastern Region Social Justice Award and the 2019 Democracy Champions Award for his role in transforming New York State’s voting policies.

Trevon holds a Master of Public Administration from UMass Boston and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Psychology from UMass Amherst. His work is grounded in a simple principle: shared clarity and real ownership make change durable.
